How painful is Invisalign?
Invisalign does not cause significant pain but some mild soreness may occur as your teeth shift and apply pressure. This discomfort is temporary and manageable with over-the-counter medication if needed.
Who is a good candidate for Invisalign?
Invisalign can work for teens and adults with mildly to moderately crooked or spaced teeth. Good candidates have healthy gums and teeth with no significant bite issues or missing teeth.
Can Invisalign fix overbite?
In many cases yes, Invisalign uses attachments on certain teeth to help control movement and successfully correct some overbite issues.
How often do aligners get changed?
You will switch to a new set of aligners approximately every 1-2 weeks over the course of treatment until you achieve your desired smile.
How long do you wear retainers after Invisalign?
It's recommended to wear retainers full-time for at least the first 6 months after Invisalign. Then most transition to wearing retainers at night indefinitely to maintain results.
